Have a standard centre console in my 80. The lid hinge is plastic and I'm thinking of cutting down a section of stainless piano hinge from a hardware store to make something better.
As much as I'd love a Delta centre console they're not really affordable (the product looks awesome though), so sticking with the standard factory console I must (says Master Yoda).
Should be fairly simple to achieve. I'll post some pics.
