Will probably be tackling this job sometime soon so I wanted to see if anyone has the service tools needed to do this? Mind if I borrow them?

I think it's a 54 mm hub socket for the front and a special hub socket for the rear.

crickets....

guess I will just get the tools from C-Dan with the rest of my order, if anyone needs them in the future let me know.

you can get the socket from snap-on, sears, etc... I think it is 2 1/8" or so...

look in the 80 section, I think they show how to make the special tool for the rear...

The club has that socket you need. Shoot a pm to John Smith.

I just picked up pair of the Marlin Crawler HD front axels seals for my 40. There real beefy compared to stock. When I get a chance, I'm going to buy some for my 80. Even with new stock seals I get gear oil in the birfs. It’s definatly worth it with the full time 4WD.

Figured I would post one last time to look for the rear SST.

I finished up my from axle, now I want to do the rear. Club does not have the rear tool and last time I called CDan he was out. Anyone else have one I can borrow?

Part #: 09509-25011

If not supposedly the Dana 60 tool will work but does not engage as well as the OEM one obviously.

TIA

I have the OEM tool you can borrow. Where do you live?
