My passenger rear door has developed a squeak. Whenever I'm on a bumpy road it has a very high pitched squeaky noise. Sometimes if I put the window down just a hair it fixes it. I can recreate the noise by jiggling on the inside door handle.

Anyone experience this? How did you fix it?

this happened to me. It was a lose screw on where the part that goes into the door when it closes attaches. I dont know what the part is called but i will take a pic when the wife gets back with the truck tonight. It is the bracket that hold the metal rod that goes into the door that mounts in the hinge. Sorry for the bad description, but when i tightened it up, it went right away.

My 04 was doing that , drove me crazy, I took aprt the door panel and it ended up being a small metal piece like a trim piece towards the top of inside of the the panel , the glue had come undone, I glued it back and also added a little duck tape for good measure...squeak went away, has been back since (over a year ago). Coincidentally also an 04 Thundercloud...

A friend's '04 had a squeak. It was the interior door panel rubbing on the top metal lip of the door - where it clips over it. We took removed the interior panel and you could see the rub marks through the paint on the door. We put some electrical tape over the metal door seam. Pressure on the door panel from inside would stop the noise over bumps. The other suggestions are good too. So many places for annoying squeaks to come from...

I've been living with this squeak for well over a year and I finally got fed up. I'm not mechanically inclined nor do I have much free time so I took it to the Toyota dealer. For the cost of 1 hours labor $120 they fixed the squeak for me with a little insulation inside the door panel. I can't believe how quiet the car is now.
