whats a recommended lube to stop the doors from squeaking?

What kind of squeak are you getting? I've searched and searched this forum with no real luck for my squeak. Sounds are hard to search.

Mine is the front passenger door armrest area...squeaks when driving and then much worse if someone actually uses the door armrest.

Thanks @wpsfan. My squeaking is opening/closing the doors so the lithium grease should fix the problem.

I did see some other threads about squeaking while driving, you may want to search. It appears some bolts/plastic pieces fall or break inside the door

I used white lithium spray on my hinges a few weeks ago and that got rid of the creaks. I had to get the nozzle tube in there good to get full coverage.

Good to know, thanks. It's gotten bad over the last week or so that even my kiddos are telling me. Guess it's the weather.

Weather change always seems to bring out weird sounds in my vehicles too. I'd also check the door's "striker" (that "U-shaped" anchor on the b-pillar) and make sure the mounting hardware is tight and not loose. Had slightly loose ones on my inlaws Tacoma that resulted in a weird door noise that was hard to pinpoint.

Speaking of squeaks in the armrest -

I had a squeak or "chirp" in my driver's door armrest. Worse in the heat, as mentioned above. I could stop it by keeping my arm on the rest - no big deal but annoying.

Finally I pulled the door panel. There are no obvious bolts or screws or metal-on-metal hot spots between the panel and the door itself. In fact, the arm rest is actually secured by bent tabs that perforate the fiber board backing of the door panel. But I felt like I had to do something, so I taped over all of the metal tabs.

Now the chirp is gone, except when I put my arm on the rest. Go figure. My redneck uncle would have had a perfect phrase to describe this situation but right now I can't think of one.

Jason, don't wait too long to lube those hinges. My wife told me about the squeaky doors on a Monday and by the next Wednesday there was one already broken.
