Squeaky Brakes -- Insulator Kit Fix (1 Viewer)

I can't remember what type of brake pads that I removed when I changed brake shoes. I don't remember any insulators like this being on the pads.

I think this insulator kit is needed to stop squeaky brakes.

Has anyone else found this kit to cure squeaky brakes?

Most aftermarket brake pads come equipped with the inner insulators/shims already installed. The outer insulator/shims typically do not come with aftermarket pads, but are necessary to keep the rattling/squeaking to a minimum because they connect to the pads, the pins, and the caliper pistons.

Some CNC silicone brake quiet can also be useful on the back of aftermarket pads in addition to the shims they come with.
