Squeaking (7 Viewers)

I have an almost constant squeak thats not a belt squeal but a metallic squeak that occurs while the vehicle is rolling. I can hear it in our parking deck and it will sometimes go away while i’m turning a corner. 2006 lc with about 250k miles.

Any guess what the source is?

Check to see if your rotor backplates are tweaked and rubbing. Could also have something broken or rubbing in your emergency brake drums.

It could be a dozen different things. Narrow it down:
- where is it coming from?
- rhythmic?
- only wheel rotation dependent?
- engine speed dependent?
- road surface dependent?
- can you repeat it with the engine off, pressing down on different body panels: hood, fenders, bumpers?

I have a small squeak from my steel bumper contacting on the smallest piece of fender, but that is also why I have a radio
