squeak! - RESOLVED

ive got a consistent squeak/shrill/metal-on-metal sound coming from what i think to be one or more of my wheels on my 2000 4runner. here are the other facts:

-the same monotone sound at all speeds that is heard when i have the window down and i drive next to something that reflects the sound of my truck back to me.
-the same monotone sound during breaking
-has gradually gotten louder and louder of the past few weeks

ive read that the bearings are sealed on the front but, what about the back? i dont know. im stuck and hate to call the mechanic.

thanks fellas!

Have you checked for any small rocks stuck in your calliper?
If you're running after-market wheels, some collect debris in them (between the inner rim / backing plate).
How are your rear brakes? Maybe the rear e brake is sticking or something is rattling / wearing away inside of the drums?

it was the squeal tab.:whoops: initially i thought those only squealed when you braked. off to the store to get some brake pads! :steer:
