interested but i need to see what needs done. do you have pics of the current state?
This is a 27 year old second owner FJ60. ROTW pics are fairly accurate with the exception of a silver doghouse.

Needs TLC to make a kickass truck.

why trailering

like the last couple of posters, I'm interested--looks like a great rig--but need to know what the trailering is about

GLWS

I pulled the entire front clip off of the rig and have all new sheet metal from the core support back to the cowl.

The frame has been stripped and awaiting primer and paint.....very clean to the cowl.

Front axle has all new bearings, rotors, pads and U bolts.
4.10 fine spline gearset and installation kit as well as BRAND NEW AUssie Laocker in the font thrid member.

The truck is a roller and requires final assembly, for any competent mechanic is no big issue, and certainly not a deal breaker.

How disassembled is the vehicle currently? The front clip is disassembled and the frame is stripped, but does it run and drive?

Does the body have rust or rot? If the front clip needed to be replaced, is the rest of the truck bent up?

^^^this...plus is everything there still? How long has it been torn down? Why was it torn apart...for mechanical reasons or just to clean up the frame and replace some sheet metal? Does it need a trailer or would a dolly work?

are you going to be around this weekend? I am in northwest Indiana about 3hrs from Indy...

I am very interested, but I must have a recent picture showing the state the vehicle is currently in before heading 3 hrs down to see it. Without a current picture I cannot garuntee that I wont take one look at it and walk away, and it sounds like you dont want your time wasted, neither do I. Six hours round trip and two tanks of gas just to see it is a bit much to ask. A picture would ease my mind a bit.

As a previous poster asked....does it run and drive still, just no front clip attached? Can it be driven onto the trailer?

Things would be so much clearer if we had a picture or two. You say your ROTW build is pretty accurate for condition, yet that thread is over 3 years old and the doghouse is a different color? Has the doghouse been swapped too?

Buyer bailed due to "gut feelings" about too much work to do...No biggie.

I did manage to spend all Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday sorting out the Cruiser, cleaning the interior, exterior and inventorying the parts.

Spent about ten minutes under the hood sorting lines and reconnecting the electrical system, put in the battery and KA Boom fired up after sitting for about 15 months without starting.

I forgot just how strongly and smoothly this 2F runs ;)
