Hey guys,

Searched around, haven't found much immediately. Twice in the last month when turning into a tight parking spot, I'll get all the way into the spot and turn the wheels straight. While turning the wheels straight, I feel a little abnormal pressure on the wheel as I'm turning it straight for a split second, then I hear a spring sound "boing", the master warning light comes on and beeps for about half a second, then it goes away. No other symptoms of any problems, suspension feels fine. Any ideas? I'm approaching the 36k mile mark so wanting to check and make sure this isn't a problem before I get out of warranty.

Not 100% sure since not there...but that sounds like the turn may have briefly fooled/activated traction control and it's beeping at you to let you know. If it was jus a steering issue, I don't think you'd hear a beep.

I get that turning into tilted driveways sometimes, or turning through deep run-off street edges as I turn...or if I allow myself to roll backward slightly while waiting at an up-hill light.
It makes a weird "boing" sound and beeps. Super annoying, but if that's what you're hearing, it's normal.
The change you feel in the steering COULD be the brief application of brakes to one side or the other.
It's way too sensitive IMHO, and I wish I could adjust mine to be less so.

might be a bad steering wheel clockspirng.

check codes if you have a techstream, even after the light goes away sometimes the code will be stored.

By "master warning light" do you mean the triangle with the ! or the VSC light or the check engine light?

If you're still under warranty I'd take it to the dealer so at least the issue is logged. They may say it's normal or can't reproduce it, but if something turns up at 38k miles that's a $1000 repair it should be covered since they were alerted to the issue while it was under warranty.

Not sure which light he means, but my dash does trip a light whenever traction control kicks in.

Edit: I think I'll try to induce what mine does and get it on video. Curious if what you're seeing is similar.

One way you could try for yourself... Stop on a steep, uphill area. Take your foot off the brake and wait for the automatic roll-back feature to quit stopping you. Keep just enough gas to prevent roll-back while still in drive. Now let off the gas until you start to slightly roll back. If your truck is like mine, this will cause a "boing" sound and the beep/lights. If this is the same boing sound you heard before, and same beep, I think you'll have your answer.

The light is only on for a fraction of a second and I'm always surprised by it, but I know it does have the "!" On it, so it's either the master or the tps. My assumption is it must be the master, given how the tps light works.

Is this similar to the "boing" sound you are hearing?

(Turn up your volume & you'll hear the "boing" right before the beep/light. It can beep once...or more, if I don't brake or hit the throttle in this case)

Does it twice...and stops when you hear me hit the gas...

Nah, I hear that's your ABS and traction control like you said. This is a legit spring "boing" like a spring was under tension and then let go. I did some more looking around and apparently suspension springs can get stuck on something and then get unstuck, hence the spring boing sound. They said it's normal, parts may need more greasing. I dunno, but I think I will take it in to dealer and make sure it's recorded.
