Anyone going to spring fling this year?

Thanks Andy, I missed posting the details for this one. The SFWDA trail clean up will be Saturday morning if the trails are open. And yes I am going.

The official dates will be April. 4th (Sat) and April 5th. This is a fundraiser based at the campground. Sat morning will be Trail Clean Up until noon sponsored by SFWDA(No Daily Use Fee). Meet back out the campground for a Rock Challenge, Dinner, Raffle, Bon Fire and Band(Weather Permitting). Sunday morning Slow Crawl Tug-O-War(Battle of the Beasts). Remember folks Proceeds go to SFWDA. Admission is $50 per rig, $20 per adult guest(Children under 13yoa are free-you will just be responsible for meal purchase in needed). The admission includes Camping for Fri-Sat nights, Dinner and all entertainment at our campground. Cabins will be normal pricing, however the owners want to Donate 25% of rental fees to the cause.

This would also be a great opportunity for folks to bring out stuff for a Swap Meet. I watched a guy empty a UHual Truck out last year in the Campground at Dixie Run...Everyone is looking for parts and accessories.

Roger,
Will the clean up start at 8AM on state line? Currently, we may actually be able to attend. Next Saturday is the start of spring break for the schools so no soccer games have been scheduled (even though we have three rain outs to make up).

Thanks

We were going to start about 8:30. It has not been scheduled with the FS as at our last meeting they proposed the temporary closure, until they made a final decision in 6 or 8 months. We are hoping that all the pressure we have put on them with the letter witting campaign and visits to politicians, will change their minds . Unfortunately we will not know until March 31. The event at Crawford's will happen either way.

Roger,
The truck was down this weekend (rebuild of starter should be done by Tuesday), so I couldn't make it. However, can I still give direct at the SFWDA webpage for Tellico?
http://www.sfwda.org/trails/tellico/donate.html
or mail a check directly to
Make check out to: "Southern 4WD Association", mark it For: "Rescue Tellico Fund"
Mail check to:

Save Tellico needs every penny of help, right!

Thanks

PS The SFWDA page does not state that saving Tellico is tax deductible donation. Shouldn't it be? Ted Turner gets to deduct the money he is using to try & close everything.

SFWDA is a not for profit organization but not a charitable organization. If you want to donate larger sums and have them tax deductible then donate through The Blueribbion Coalition at www.sharetrails.org/rescue-tellico or you can mail them to BRC, 4555 Burley Dr., Suite A, Pocatello,ID 83202-1921 with a not that it is for the Rescue Tellico fund.
