Would like to get peoples thoughts on spring bushes.

I replaced the front spring bushes this morning. The last ones I put in were nothalane (red ones). They havent been much chop. I think they were too soft. They were well past their use by date and I think I only replaced them about 3-4 year ago.

This time I put urethane spring bushes in (blue ones ) 80 duro whatever that means. They are a bit harder than the red ones were. The guy I bought these from said the nothalane would have been only 70 duro.

The other thing I am wondering is does the grease I have been using affect them. I have greasable shackles and have been using lithium grease in them. Could this have affected them?

What grease do you use in your spring shackles?

Hi All:

Are the springs on your Land Cruiser the OE Toyota bits or aftermarket parts (i.e. Old Man Emu, Ironman, etc.)?

Regards,

Alan
