Both my neighbor's daughters had to go through the shots due to a rabid fox. Thanks for the heads up, looks like I need to be packing full time at home.

The paper said "north Cedar Ridge Drive and East Nuestro - 2 Miles West of Oracle State Park....

Not sure if that's near you or not.

He had the presence of mind to not let it go to bite someone else. He actually had to stangle it and put his knee in its chest to put it down. He obviously recognized it as very abnormal behavior.

He will have to go through a rough series of shots but at least they were able to test the animal and he kept it from escaping to do more harm potentially.

From my understanding, Rabies shots aren't the big deal they used to be. You do have to take more than one, but the old method, with shots to the abdomen are not used anymore. Just a schedule of a regular shots.
