Did that come with hardtop models or was it something you had to buy extra? I wish I had enough $$$ for a FST. I didn't even know that part existed. Isn't there also a rubber gasket for the top of the windshield too for hardtop models? I hate using goop to seal my top for the winter, it makes a mess and always looks like s***.

This is a 66 Soft top, Don't know about hard top  this is how the rubber bumpers were when I bought the rig and replaced with new OEM dering the resto
The rail came loose along with the rig and some soft top parts were still bolted to the tub minus the bows

Are you using the four bolts across the top front of the windshield frame to secure the top to the windshield frame?

Depending on the year of your cruiser it could already have fixed nuts on the top of the windshisld for the channel. Years would be mid 65 to 78. I think there seven bolts at least that hold the strip on.

Rubber windshield frame supports were three different styles, 1958-1965, 1966-09/71, and 09/71-01/75 until 01/75 where they changed to a metal bracket with a rubber cushion on the top of the bracket.

.

Yup, my 08/66 has the early low style rubber bumpers. I dont have the softtop rail and the wiper arms hit the hood w W/S folded down.

yeah I am, and the windshield does have the threaded holes for the soft top rail as well.

part # for the weatherstriping for the hardtop to windshield:
63161-60011.

I called the dealership about this gasket and it costs $54. Must be a pretty amazing piece of rubber.:hillbilly:
