I am looking at a 1999 tacoma, he says it has a bent front spindle. How hard is that to replace that. I have worked on much older toyota's but nothing this new. Is there a difference between 4x4 of 2 wheel drive. I see spindles on ebay but very few specify they will fit 4x4. School me on what I am looking at if I get this truck.

Thanks Chris

Well I'm not the teacher as I haven't changed a newer one either.
I would hope traditional tools would do the job still and the only thing is to price out the parts and any other that might also need to be replaced.
Also wondering..how does the owner know it's bent? Ran out of adjustment for an allignment, abnormal wear on the tire on that corner, front end vibration or a pull?
A 99 taco or 4runner with the facotry aluminum rims are very sensitive to a proper balancing and many places can't balance them.
Can send a link on other threads on this topic if needed.

Take it to an alignment shop and find out what else is bent...
