This is the after the build build thread

All the fab work was done at BinksFab.

Everything else was done at home by Bebe and myself

After wheeling my 85runner since 1994 I was ready for a change
Bebe offered me her FJ80 to build.

Rick and Bebe's
1995 Black FZJ80 stock with no lockers.

First to go was the plastic

Cleaned up and ready for paint

Painted with rattle can bed liner

Loaded up for the trip to Binksfab

Followed your build thread on pirates, the best looking 80 IMHO How do you like the new suspension set up on the road ?

Yeah I remember this truck on Pirate too. Last I saw it had just got those HUGE spring put on in the rear. Kinda forgot about it. I'm ready to see finished pics. POST THEM!

Not bad at all.
It seems to like 70-75 on the freeway around 80 it feels a little loose l
Still got a little better then 15 mpg's on the trip to and from Moab

The plan was for some bumpers and sliders with a 6" ironman lift.Gears,lockers and rims and tires.
Well things took a hard left after talking with Bink and i decided to let him have his way with the 80

We started ordering parts and he started cutting.

Rear coils are in we have to take some measurements for the 3-link so we can get the front ones in and buttoned up. Here is a pic of what the truck looks like at ride height and one of the monster rear coils.:

I'd like to know where I can get me one of those nifty new ones. Or at least a new nozzle for my old one.
It looks nice, functions great.

I saw that rig at binks shop last year when they were fitting the rear springs. That thing is huge. At least you don't have the rock anchors anymore with the 3 link.

So I've been building and rebuilding brackets trying to make everything perfect and I now think I have it dialed. The 4 tabs that make up the lower control arm mounts on the axle end all have their own little raduis to them. I have it perfected and will be offering these for those who want to either link one of these trucks or use them to put this axle under whatever. I'll get into that more later. We trimmed the lower framesides off and moved them back 3". I like these brackets and am just going to gusset the backsides and reweld them on. We wound up with a lower link thats 34.250 and an upper thats 32.500. I will be cutting links to length for the lowers
