I have a Toyota Land Cruiser 2002 with 205,000KM. It’s an armored vehicle, very heavy but runs great and has been very well kept (by me
. It’s my one and only vehicle for a family of two small girls and two small dogs (and my wife off course).
About 6 months ago my speedometer started acting up. I could be driving around and everything was fine but I would hit a pot hole or a bump and the speedometer would go all the way to zero. A couple of minutes or seconds later I hit another bump and it comes back to life. If it doesn’t come back to life after about 10 minutes the check engine would turn on. The check engine is a way of the car telling me the speedometer is not working properly.
Anyway I read around before posting and what I think is happening is that below the drive box there could be a faulty or a bad connection of a blue cable of some sort.
has anyone had this issue? Any photos or ideas I could try out.
Thanks!!
