Got the spark plugs on my 2000 LC changed today. Was going through the service history last week and discovered that the spark plugs had never been changed ever. My LC has 136k miles on it now.

There were no symptoms, no misfires, no starting problems, nothing, just figured it was about time i got them done. Everyone on the forums seemed to be in favor of 120k mi interval as being the optimum.

Posting a picture of the plugs that came out, not having much experience, wanted to get some opinions on the spark plug condition.

Thanks.

Looks the same as mine at 115,000ish

Which means they don't look a whole lot diffrn't than the new ones.

Which means they could'a prolly just kept on spark'n along...

How's the gap? They look very clean, but without gaping them it would be hard to determine the wear rate on the electrode. That said (and as posted above) they'd likely be good for another 120k. I too would be tempted to include plugs as part of a 90k, but there's no benefit to either performance, economy, or reliability so don't really see the need. The 2UZ appears in all regards to be loafing along a very low stress levels in the 100, probably why they last so darn long.

However... unless you've owned it since new, you don't absolutely know that the plugs are OE. The NGK's are a good sign.

I changed mine at 150K...looked like that picture. Could've gone longer, I am sure.
