My truck has settled to 5/8" lower on the passenger side than the drivers side post lift. The coils are in their proper places and I've tried the Eric Sargent KDSS reset numerous times and it still sits low on the passenger side. I know most say 1/2" is within factory spec and I am only slightly over that but I can visually see the lean from behind and when comparing fender to tire gap when looking at both sides of the vehicle. I swear I can feel it when driving it but that might just be my OCD convincing myself that I can lol. I can say that when loaded with a front seat passenger and rear passenger also on the passenger side that the front right tire will make contact somewhere when under compression and turning. This proves that it's enough of a physical difference to cause physical dynamics to be off from one side to the other.

My question is should I install a 10mm trim packer in the rear only on that side and possibly the same for the front as well? Do y'all see any issue with this in a physical sense or in terms of suspension and handling dynamics? I know this might sound petty to some but a vehicle should sit level or darn close to it IMHO, acceptance of this random lean angle and height due to the shortcomings of the KDSS isn't acceptable in my eyes. Any input would be much appreciated.

I don't see any issue with running a trim packer on one side. Lots of people have done it in 80s

I'd see no issue with a trim packer on one side. I'd start with the rear only, as they are easier to install, and won't require an alignment afterwards.

I am running the 10mm OME trim packer/spacer on just one side in the rear. It leveled things out. No issues over the past 10k miles.

What I have noticed is that when the rear height is increased on one side it will cause a slight change to the front (less than a 1/4”).

Exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks!

It might be counter intutive, but I had a similar issue. I can’t recall if it was passenger high or passenger low, but installing a single spacer on the driver front fixed the issue. It has to do with the leverage of the KDSS. It took awhile to figure out. It’s been a few years, so I’m fuzzy on what it was.

I can go back and find/read my notes if you are really curious about what mine was…

In the Tacoma world a lot of people run a 1/4” spacer on the driver side when doing front suspension due to the “taco lean.” Battery, driver, and fuel tank all on the driver side.
