I am about to install a new Warn M8000 on my ARB bumper. I have heard that spacers may be needed between the feet and the bumper. Can anyone confirm this and how thick of spacers do I need?

Just want to have everything I need prior to starting the install. This is for an 80 Series Land Cruiser.

Thanks--

If you can't fit it without spacers I think have some I used on my ARB. I cut them with an oxy torch, so they're not too pretty, but they work. You can have them if i can find them, just pay shipping.

Thanks for the offer. Maybe I can just fab something to save the trouble. Got a pic or two?

Hi all,

Be sure to use a snatch block while winching your FZJ80 with that M8000. A 10K rated winch would really be a better choice for a vehicle the weight of an 80 Series TLC.

Good luck!

Alan

Alan,

I actually removed an M10000 from my rig because I prefer the M8000 (I've had it on other vehicles). It is far lighter but still can meet the mark if used correctly. The M10000 is a beast.

As a follow-up...the M8000 fit perfectly with no spacers. Also, the clutch does not need to be clocked in the new ARB 80 bullbar. There's still plenty of room to access the handle.

I would think a m8000 way too small for a 80 series.

The spacers I used total 1/2". I used two 1/4" spacers per side. You might bet away with a bit less or more.
