Are there any HDJ81 1HDT owner's in Southern Utah that.know of any good shops in Southern Utah that will work on a 1HDT?

Thanks for the reply. Coming up on another T-belt change and looking to have the injection system refreshed. ( pump and injectors ). Had the BEB done with last T-belt. The tech that did the last bit of stuff isn’t around anymore and I’m a bit further away as well. And it’s stuff that’s a bit out of my comfort zone for me to do.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I went to pro auto yesterday and they wont touch it and didnt know anyone that would. Most places i have contacted are excited to work on it till i mention the word diesel. Im happy that they are all straight forward with me. Would rather have experience than an experiment.

Call @cruiseroutfit. They might know a shop near you with diesel experience, or worst case go spend a day in SLC and let them do the work.

Gillette diesel in Bluffdale rebuilt injectors for me on my '93 HDJ81. I pulled the parts myself and brought them in. They do pumps and are very familiar with the Bosche VE style pumps.

I know they do other stuff in addition to the injection parts. The guys at the front desk told me they have worked on a couple HDJ81s.

Worth a visit. If they don't want to pull the parts or do the T-Belt, there are lots of mud members nearby. I am frequently down that way.

Thanks for the reply, Yeah its looking like the 80 is going to have to go up north. More options up that way for a one stop shop. All the places i have visited here have said that they can do this but wont touch that. Thanks for the info about Gillette. Completely forgot about them. They have been around for years and am sure they have seen a few odd ball diesels roll thru their shop. Thanks again for the info
