I saw that there is a chance of rain all weekend. The rain fly to the rtt has rips on one end. Might bring a roll of duct tape for it. Haha. I have a ground tent I'll consider bringing

The coil packs I got were about $25 shipped from Amazon. Good for emergencies. I had to actually use one already and no complaints so far.
*knock on wood*

I wish for that price. They're Chinese made from PT Warehouse. P/N IC230. They look to be pretty solid and well made.

Ah, don't forget to add a first aid kit. Got a AAA one from Amazon for about $15 shipped.

Please buy your firewood after you get to southern CO. You don't want to bring bugs from where you live to potentially wreak havoc on the plants in CO.

We can stop at American Toyota and visit @cruiserdan. Actually, it's been a tradition now every time I drive by (July and December) to stop and purchase a new air filter. Will be making a stop morning of 7/30 on the way to the Warrior Station.

Great idea...

Come on @marcfj60 ...give us southern boys a little credit :)

This is something I just learned and didn't know anything about. So I assumed the concept might be new to others as well.

@LEX you said you recently changed your diff fluids? Have any issues getting he plugs out? What type oil did you put back in?

The plugs were stubborn, but I gave the ratchet some love taps with a hammer to loosen them up. I just made sure the sockets were snug and straight.

I used 80-90 Valvoline conventional oil.

I just got back from Goldthwaite, TX and it was smooth with no abnormal noises/whines that I've read stories about on here.

I did the rear and xfer case. Cannot get the plugs off the front. It was changed two years ago so at this point Im probably going to wait until after HIH.

One more week...

Changed the front/rear diff and transfer case. Went with 75w90 Mobil 1 synthetic. Like @ntsaint, the front drain and fill plugs were torqued in and it took some muscle (and a longer ratchet) to break it free. Haven't driven it yet, but plan on taking it out this weekend for a final shake down to ensure all is good.

@LEX .... Thanks for sending me the links to the threads with the instructions.

Started a simple shopping list for food.

We'll have time to make a camp fire Thursday evening, right?

Well thought we might be able to hook up and add another from Texas. But looks like we will be bringing up the rear as we won't leave the DFW area till Wed. after lunch. But going a different route through Pagosa to visit some friends who just had a baby. So if anyone has any trouble let me know or PM me your cell.

Good to see some of the suggestions here as I have been surprised there isn't more of a suggested list of things to bring and prep. I have my lists for the races in excel so that helps for me but I go by myself-different with a family of 5. I have been telling my wife the temps up there the last week in the mid and sometimes low 40's so they are packing a ton of stuff, too. Plan to pick up firewood in CO, too. Have most of the spares listed here but don't have any D rings around the house.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.
