Howdy fellas!

This is a couple months overdue, but I just picked up my 2nd '89 62 about 4months ago, so I'm sure you'll see me around in the 60s forum:) Owned one in college, same color which was bone stock. Found one in VA with almost;) everything I wanted to do to it as far as mods. It's not a purist crusher as it has a 5.7 vortec conversion with a 4L60E tranny mated to the factory transfer. She's got a 2.5" Dakar OME lift with OME pins and shackles running on 33s. Older ARB bull bar and a rack. Her name is Nelly:)

Just wanted to drop in and do my intro... Here's a pic of her with my buddy.

Beautiful, rugged, .... And the truck looks nice, too ;)

Howdy fellas! Thank you for the warm welcome! FJ60_cruiser, my thoughts exactly, with the exception of sliders;) Just bought a set from Jim at SROR this week, now I just need lockers, rear bumper, rear sliders and some tinkering on misc things:)

Sweet rig. Looks really clean

Thanks jbarnhill! I use to hunt whitetail down around you:) Alotta deer down in your neck of the woods!

Thanks smkymtn! I'm right outside of Raleigh, so I'm bout 4hours from you. Envy you, you live in some pretty country! Use to troutfish and backpack around your neck of the woods when I was younger.

Looks good Yo Han, nobody will fault the vortec for a non-purist 62.

Thank you sir! Yessir, I like the vortec, especially on the highway:) She holds 75mph no problem, even when it gets hilly:) The previous owner put stock cans and headers on her, might switch it out down the road. Has a nice rumble bout her as is tho.
