hi folks,
just need some assistance. i just got the kit but it didn't have instructions, it looks pretty straight forward but i'm not sure about the piping and the bracketry.
i did do a search and found this: https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/201296-sor-universal-washer-fluid-bottle.html
anywho, i'm not a seasoned wrencher or gearhead but i like to learn. so after seeing the above thread, can i assume that the bottom drain hose/nipple of the kit joins with the stock washer bottle? i just realized that guys are using it in conjunction with the stock set up? i thought this was a replacement?
- short tube connects to other bottle?
- little white plastic piece is a connector to attach 2 hoses?
- t-piece splits the line into two for the 2 nozzles?
- 2 metal thingy's, dunno, slides under the bracket/grooves? holes match the dimples on the bracket?
- 1 metal thingy/L-bracket with big hole, bracket for the switch, and i just use 2 cheap screws to mount it under the dash somewhere...or drill a hole through the dash...
- long hose is cut to fit/splice into 2 lines, main line from pump to t-junction then to 2 nozzles, nozzles are just loosly attached, it's quite snug
- wiring harness goes from motor to switch, and i guess it activates on a ground?
- if i don't have a stock bottle, guess i plug the bottom hole
- now, why 2 nipples comin out of the small pump? one an intake for air? or wait, ding ding, short hose runs from bottom to one of the two/suck and blow action/the other out to nozzles? (see what i mean?! lol)
- wiring, school me!
just second gueessing myself...and rightfully so!
anyone have a pick of the bracket install and how they routed the holes and how the nozzles are attached under the hood?
once all's in order, i'll document with pics, for the next newb to follow, step by step...and yes, this has got to be the easiest thing to do on a 40!!!
thanks for any help you may have. and btw, stuff looks cheapo, hope the motor is decent!
currently, the rig doesn't have a washer bottle/mechanism, been removed i think...
cheers
