SOR Overhead Storage Tray (1 Viewer)

Anybody have one of these installed? If so, do you like it, pro's and con's? I'm thinking it's a clean place for a CB + it the extra storage space could always be useful.

I've seen a couple of similar ones installed, not sure if that's the same. The only caveat is if you're really tall, it's going to be in your line of vision.

In a moment of weakness, I ordered and installed one of these in my 62.
Pros:
- Handy place to clip CB mic and mount compass.
- Some storage: great for small CD binder, maps, garage door opener, etc...

Cons:
- Make sun visor very difficult to clip in retainer.
- Storage pockets not well defined internally, nothing to keep stuff stored in pockets to wander around and get lost.

I'm not using it as a place to install a CB, getting cabling up the pillars to the center overhead area was more effort than I wanted to exhert.

As for being tall and it getting in the way of you vision, you'd have to be wayyyyy tall. And then you would already have vison blockage from the roof line & visor. I'm 5'11" and it does not impede on my vision or make the roof feel too close.

I was also wary of things falling out while wheel'n, but that hasn't been the case.

When it arrived I had a distinct case of buyers remorse, but after a year in place I am glad to have it.
