I was driving home from work the other day taking a left turn and all the sudden my truck started shaking really bad. I thought something broke in my axle because it was shaking so bad. i was able to get pulled over into a parking lot and check it out. Everything was fine underneath so i popped the hood. I was shocked to see that i was missing a few fan blades and my fan shroud was in 5 pieces. I was able to get a fan and fan clutch from my work but they could not find a single shroud in the country. Toyota discontinued them. i can not find one aftermarket. I can only find 4 cyl ones and 90 to 95 v6 shrouds. So i was wondering if anyone has seen any 88 trucks or 88-89 4runners in wrecking yards i might be able to find one at? I called all the Toyota yards in and out of state I could find and struck out. So who has been to and pick and pulls or pick a parts and seen any? Any help would be appreciated cause im pulling my hair out trying to find one. If I can't find one ill make an aluminum one but i'd rather have the factory style.

Thanks for your help,
Scott

I think one of my guys at work has a parts 89 4runner v6. PM me Monday (I am off work right now) to remind me to ask him.

Before you just replace it - did you figure out what caused it? Engine torque against failing mounts can allow enough cant for the belt-driven fan to impact the shroud. I'd have a very close look at what preceded the impact event before I threw another one in there. Good luck,
