Seems like there's a bunch of speaker threads going up so I thought I'd start mine. I don't have all the pics yet--will definitely add a few more if people are interested.

This install used Sony Xplod xs-1625A 6.5" speakers up front and Xplod xs-1325A 5.25" speakers in the back doors. It was not a plug and play install, requiring door frames to be cut for the rear, new holes drilled front and back, spacing the speaker holes in the door frames, and trimming of the door interior panels up front.

Because of this, I figured I'd just post up a few pics and if anyone is really interested in the details, I'll write them up. The speakers do sound worlds better, both front and back, and I'm happy with the sound.

Sony also makes a shallow-mount 10" XPlod subwoofer I want to mount in the rear quarter in place of the factory "subwoofer". That will be at some point down the road, though.

Pics of the speaker boxes, and the two front doors:

SOOOOOOOOOO...after reading many aftermarket speaker replacement install threads I'm still a little confused. Please let me know which speaker(s) require the least amount of alterations to fit the factory front and rear holes. Oh yeah, I insist it must appear stock / the speakers fitting behind the stock grilles. Any / all info. is appreciated...Thanks
