Something slow, something fast

The PX-10 was made by a third party company under contract for Toyota to see the viability of them replacing the 70 series or complimenting the line up..... they didn't sell well so Toyota pulled the plug. This is info I got from Marv Specter when he showed me around his 6 years ago.

I'd much rather have one than a FJC but in the same breath I would imagine the price of them would be extremely high comparatively.... same reason the 70 series is not sold here... US market won't pay that much for such a rugged none luxury SUV.

That's just my opinion though.... I'd love for them to make one or bring the 70 series here and prove me wrong.

Slow: Toyota HZJ105 -

I'm copying @lt1fire on this one. It's everything I love about the 80 and 100. I'm not sure if this picture is of an HZJ105 or not.

Fast: Toyota 90C-V (Group C Endurance Car)

Not sure if this was developed by Yamaha like a lot of the other race cars were, or not.

The original Toyota "fast" car

a toyopet modified to compete in the Australian Rally League..... also the first Japanese car to compete in any kind of international racing

Green - That might be a regular 100 as it looks like it has IFS vs solid front.

I go the opposite direction, 62 body on 80 chassis with a swap

At least that is something I have a shot at too

My slow and fast. The slow one comes with a 6BT. The fast one is a supercharged 6.2L LSX.

Project X. Love that truck. Got to see it in Moab a few years ago.

Shame what happened to project x2

One of the more incredible and sad stories I've ever heard, with the only bright spot being lack of injury. 1200 hour build. I would definitely place X2 at the top of my Toyota wish list.

Completely agreed. I cried a little when I read Gary's post that someone cut him off on one of the first drives :(

ouch...

Slow: I'd like a museum quality BJ from the early 50's done with Japanese army characters, for tooling around at 45 mph or slower....
