If you could pick any two Toyotas, which ones would you pick?

The catch: one must be slow, one must be fast, and neither one can be what you already own.

Edit: ...and it doesn't have to be street legal!

That really kinda limits some guys in the club on the slow side :)

A giant fj55 and the last supra made. If we go lexus, that's a whole different story...

These are my lists in order of favorites:

Slow:

Current GXL LC70 w/ Diesel V8

Current HiLux with Double Cab and Ute bed

HDJ80 w/ the HD-Turbo Diesel

Fast:

LFA: The Lexus LFA

Or, F Sport IS 350 AWD that I lift a put rally tires on . . .

Or, a Twin Turbo Supra

Slow:
My 69 FJ40, it does not run.
I think I should be exempt of the ownership rule. You guys get to work on your own trucks and technically the business owns this truck.

Fast:
2000 GT

Lexus LFA should be excluded as yamaha built the motor

Yamaha also built the entire 2000GT under contract for toyota

I don't care, I'd rather have that than Italian red car

I think you should have to provide photos with your entry!

Sure thing my friend.

I have a thing for PX-10's. I was living in Japan off and on in the late 90's. I about had a heart attack the first time I saw one at an off-road event in Nikko, about an hour or so outside Utsunomiya.

And this really needs no explanation.

I officially drop the mic and exit stage right.

Why the hell did they not bring the PX10 over instead of the FJ Cruiser? Cool rig, great choice :)

HUGE MISTAKE

Toyota puts the same V6 that is in the Taco and FJC and passes all our government BS and brings this in, they would kill. But of course our government wont allow anything so simple..

It's probably an airbag thing, no?

I would guess some stupid stuff like that. What the hell that one is a 98, I am 55 so I can import one for myself at 62. A guy can dream.

@LockedNLoaded thanks for showing me that rig. I am in love!

Slow: Moonshine

Fast: mk2 mr2

If we were talking all Japanese cars, it'd be the nsx

Bah . .does this game have rules? OK OK - I'll take the IS or the Supra, gladly too :)

Nah of course not... only the OP can put rules on it... those were just rules for myself ;) I personally don't consider them Toyotas even though they say Toyota on them just like I don't consider a Chevy Prism a GM product.
My answer reflects a pure Toyota theme or else my answer would have been an 80 series with a duramax engine, zf-6 trans and chevy 1 ton running gear.

105 series.... takes everything that is great about the 80 series... since it is 80 series running gear, suspension and frame, and throws a 100 series body and interior on it.

Supra..... first Asian car sold in the US that could actually be modified with Detroit Muscle fairly cheaply and still be rock solid reliable.

650HP on stock internals was an unheard of thing in the early 90s

Plus they look damn nice and I've enjoyed everyone I've ever flogged

I know this is not really part of this question, but from a practical standpoint, I would like to drive a V6 AWD Rav4. ~2009 - - <$10K in great shape. Put some aggressive tires on it, pull off a bunch of plastic and try to mod it for performance . . .just a concept LOL.
