yes he did. but to a worthy candidate. the 65 will be the first to get attention. then we will see about the 66. i will need lots of help with parts sourcing etc. so let me know what you guys know. i have been reading as much as possible, but there is a lot of info spread out here. thanks, mark

I have always called it the South Dakota "SD" because it had, at one point, big ass South Dakota mud flaps on it.

i think it (the 66) still does, i saw them in the pics. too bad that is not the one i am going to resto first, "Dakota" would have been a good nick name for it.

Toyota emblem on back

does anyone know if this "TOYOTA" emblem is stock or not? it is on the back of my 65 but not my 66.

In general, LV's are far and in between. And then to find them in a descent shape is another story......I think that is what TJDIV is referring to. Yep, I agree it's a nice cannidate for a project.

yes i now understand the emblem is not stock. i will not replace it. i was just wanting to make sure b/c i was ordering all my emblems & small parts for the project and did not know if i needed one additional emblem. it looks like the same as the front emblem to me. i guess someone thought it would look nice at some time in the past.
