yes i now understand the emblem is not stock. i will not replace it. i was just wanting to make sure b/c i was ordering all my emblems & small parts for the project and did not know if i needed one additional emblem. it looks like the same as the front emblem to me. i guess someone thought it would look nice at some time in the past.

What you need for the '65 is the sticker that goes across the bottom of the tail gate. Mr. Foxfab should be able to help you out with that.

please explain the sticker. i know what you are talking about, but how does the emblem foxfab is doing and the sticker go on the rear of the truck? or was the sticker a short term fix til the emblem was made?

we got the 78 FJ55 running yesterday, finally. ran well until it sucked all the crap out of the tank and stopped up the filter. but one 5 gal. plastic gas can and some fuel line later and she was off and running. no need to mess with the tank, it will be scrap soon. just wanted to get it basically going before ripping it apart to put everything into the 65 lv. i will say the rebuilt front disc's and the addition of rear disc was very impressive. stopped great. power and 4 spd leave a bit to be desired, but it is all TLC and i had fun driving it. really tore with the V8 install, esp. after watching Matt, but, just not up to the task to do it properly. like Matt. plus a part of me really likes the originallity aspect.

The tailgate stickers are '63-'64 era. The 65 would have the metal emblem Foxfab is doing for us.

Here is a pic of the sticker:

HEY...how dare you compare my sweet puppy to a rusted out old hunk of metal :D

It looks like your '65 doesn't have a heater. Are you going to add one?

Is that Hendrix sticker stock? I know the deadhead sticker is not. I would not own one, prolly would not even own a Toyota if they ever came with those.;)

I like that bumper!

I cannot see any evidence of there ever having been an emblem on the gate of my '65. Could be that the PO removed the emblem, filled the holes, and slapped a sticker on...I don't think so though. Maybe they switched to the emblem sometime mid to late '65?

this is the headlinner(with afro marks) above the driver seat..........this 45LV was owned by Jimi :D

I bet they stoped the stickers, when they ran out, they were hand made, the letters are hand cut and stuck to the reflective backgound.....

the PO PO when he painted the 45 painted around the sticker.

I sold this 45lv to my best freind, its gotten a "bit" bigger sense then

Root has a pic of the 45 2 or so owners before I got it

ok, so tell me how you know my 65 does not have a rear heater from the pics i posted? if you are talking about the inside pic i posted, that is the 66 and there is a box under the dash? is'nt that the heater? it also looks like there is a knob or a cig lighter looking thing sticking out of it?

I assumed, since it doesn't have an fresh-air vent intake here, then it doesn't have a heater...I guess I could be wrong and you may have the heater like Landpimp posted.

so does that mean that i am going to have to add the vents to make it look like all the other crusier? i am planning on adding an aftermarket A/C from Vintage air and it will have heat and defrost so maybe no big deal unless i want the vent look?

if it doesn't have the outside vent the center heater was added later, maybe dealer maybe PO.

where is the fuse panel? if it had a factory installed heater the fuse panel would be to the left of the heater, if it was made without a heater when the fuse panel is dead center, someone could have moved it though.
