I had some ideas regarding additional lighting options for the ARB. Not sure if they are good ideas so I wanted to get input and see how many people are interested. Not sure on a price yet as I have yet to determine how thick I want these ARB cutouts to be. However there are some things that I know for sure.

1. Metal construction
2. bolt in upgrade for the ARB 03+ combination bar
3. effort to make the cutouts as affordable yet durable
4. bare metal or painted finish will be available
5. cutouts will be laser cut from sheet metal(pending thickness)

I have sent the drawings with dimensions to a shop in order to get a price quote on the different setups. Any ideas and input are welcome. Do you guys want to see turn signals in the bumper cutouts? Any ideas, let me know.

I have attached the AutoCAD sketches(with the dimensions layer and mounting system layer turned off ;)) 2D sketches because the shop wants the profile-top-side views.

Three setups that I have available so far are posted below

I will also be posting the adjustable lightbar mount-riser combo that I drew up. The point is to adjust the placement if your AUX foglights or be able to mount more than two AUX foglights to your ARB light tabs

Saving spot for adjustable light bar mount

updated 10/7/11

Now here is the other product that I came up with, it is a fully adjustable light mount with risers. With this light mount one can move the placement of their current aux fog lights, raise them higher, or mount more than 2 aux fog lights on an ARB. Was going to make this with a license plate bracket so that it does not interefere with a winch fairlead but not sure how many people really retain the front LP I was thinking of making the lightbar mount as long as the entire center tubing so that it does not look funky but another option would just make it perfectly fit from one of the ARB fog mounts to the other.(This is the reason why length is only labeled as L in the CAD file)

How about a cutout for Factory LX470 Fog/Turn combos?

I second this.

In general, I'm very interested. For me, it would need to have a turn-signal as part of the setup.

So either LX470 fog/turn combo as above, or a setup that allows for fog lights and turn signals. (can you get the dually's in orange? if so, that double dually setup you have above could work...)

Thanks for the input guys! I will ask a local so I can take measurements of the LX oem turn signal-fog combo

Also I will only be selling the mounting system, the lighting will have to be sourced by you guys. I can only get the TRS projector housings but the HID kit will have to be sourced by you.

According to this link, rigid has amber duallys come in blue, red, amber and white

2 blazers won't fit. I tried earlier and you will loose the turn signal. One light per side would be better anyways.

Thanks for pointing that out nick(mud's official TRS rep lol), I may have the dimensions wrong but the blazer has a 2.5" diameter?

I may have to run measurements again...but I do know for sure that ARB's fog light cutouts waste a lot of useful space by having the contours in between

I'm in agreement that the signal would have to be retained in one form or another. How about you make me a bracket that will accomodate a Whelen LINZ6 head?? ;)

Not sure I'd want a projector down that low, for fogs I think the flood of a reflector beam pattern would put out more useable light.

Fuzz, good point on the projector being low. I guess the only advantage of that would be that it can be used for a driving light legally(right?)

As for the Whelen mount...is this the light? If it is, fabricating a mount for the plastic cutouts would be easy enough but then we'd face the same problem of the 'no turn signals'.

yes, I am bored in class but my imagination is still running:doh:

The Lexus Halogen projector is awesome, thats why I want to keep them.

Whelen LINZ6s can be set to steadyburn and wired as turn signals. I used a similar light, the TIR3 for mine. check my <3 LEDs thread

Do you know if we can have it act as a turn signal and DRL light at the same time? In essence have it just act as a DRL and then flash when the turn signal is used? Or only DRL or only turn signal?

I'm not entirely sure if it could be wired that way or not. It does have a steady burn mode like Loud was saying, so it could easily be set up as a DRL...not sure if the turn signal would be able to interrupt the current to make it flash if it's already powered up though.

You can power it with a resistor to bring the current down and make it dim, and then give it full power with the turn signal wire. I've done this on vehicles, as has my friend who builds emergency vehicles.

Double checked this, with the double blazer I figured that you would lose the turn signal(refer to the drawings having no turn signals)

However, the blazers will fit together, the ARB cutouts have a lot of contours, but the laser cut metal cutouts that I will get made will be able to mount two blazers in each side(just putting options out there). The pictures show the chrome shroud but the blazer is a tad bit smaller without the chrome. Also, the blazers are water/weatherproof according to TRS

Here are some photos for reference(ignore the chrome shrouds). Now time to work on the RIGID dually!

Now back to pledge work..
