Hi all! I'm relatively new to the forum (usually lurking on the 100 Series side of things) but figured I'd throw this FJ62 out there.
Full disclosure, I work for the shop selling it. I will not make a commission on the sale nor was I asked to post it here. I just figured if it is going to end up in a good home, MUD might be a place to find it.
For sale is our 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser. It was purchased from BaT last year by its previous owner. Unfortunately, at that time, the clearcoat had failed. We had a beautiful, lightly modified silver FJ62 for sale and instead of repainting this FJ he offered it to us as a partial trade. We took it, repainted it, and fully serviced it. At 294k miles it still runs like a top and now has a fresh coat of paint to match. The interior isn't perfect, most notably a tear on the driver's seat and some stains, but overall is in good shape. This truck has always been in dry environments. The first 140k miles were spent in California, then Arizona. It was then sold to a man in Texas who owned it for 18 years and personally added 150k miles. The result is a truck with zero rot anywhere. Some very light rust is present on the leaf springs and exhaust, but that's it. This is about as close to zero rust as it gets.
The transmission was rebuilt approximately 9,000 miles ago and the A/C was converted to R134 in 2009. New brakes, belts, and spark plugs have all been done in the last year. It has records back to 2000, a clean Carfax, and is currently registered in Connecticut.
Asking price is $15,900 OBO
