just seen this on gizmag, built in solar panels and charging electronics, thought Id post a link as solar panels and fridge's/coolers have been a bit of a topic lately:

It had GREAT technical depth, including saws, some welding, mulitmeters, a guy pushing a cart, some drab weather and even someone HAND soldering a pcb (maybe that explains the $1200 msrp). How could this NOT be a great product? And, during the drab weather scene, they pitch the panel at an angle just like you preach!! But weird how the panel is actually mounted to the top of the lid and not moveable....hmmm...must be special engineering tricks I just don't get being a dumb consumer.
