Okay, I know it's a boring thread. But it's almost 4am and I can think straight. I just got home from work and when I was getting out of the truck I noticed that my driver's side carpet was soaked. The rear carpet and passanger side were fine. The weird part is that we haven't had rain for a few days.
Any thoughts?

Did you drive through any standing water? Mine gets wet from a crack in the caulking on the floor.

If the carpet is "soaked" as you say, you would know if the heater core sprung a leak. The smell of coolant is unmistakeable. Check your door seals, windshield seal and firewall gromets first. Pull the carpet and pad all the way back and check to see if you have any rust through issues. If you dont smell antifreeze, you dont have a heater core leak.

How soaked? Is the speedo cable spitting up gear oil behind the dash?

Well it doesn't smell of anti-freeze and it doesn't feel oily. I'm assuming it's just water. I live in Vancouver, water isn't unheard of here (sarcasim) but I wasn't crossing the nile. I talked to my cruiser mechanic said he's had 60 / 61 's with the same problem and it was just the run off from the roof. Truck's going in for some minor work on Monday so he's gonna take a peek to see if it's a leak from the floor.

X2 on Mountain Goats fix, plus you'll probably find that the cowling and drain tube are full of leaf debris, this holds the water and allows it time to seep into the holes.:frown:

If I'm not mistaken, I'm almost certain the heater core is on the passenger side - so I don't think that is your culprit.

X2 on the vent drain being clogged or the gutters leaking in the A pillar.
