Torn between fixing up this 240k FJ60. Found a 40k engine/drivetrain setup local. But also have it for sale for $1400 as it is.

PO let it run out of oil and it siezed up about a month ago. I picked it up because its in great condition 99.5% rust free and great interior.

PO purchased it a year prior for $5k, and put another $2k into it. He took a large loss on this. If he did his oilchange per the sticker I wouldn't have it.

So here is what I've done.

- Pulled the radiator core support with all the fixings off.
- Removed right fender with inner fender attached.
- Hauled the core support with the frame mounts to the blasters with some John deere stuff.
- Primed the core support.

To Do.
- Sell or...
- Pull engine/tranny/transfer together complete.
- Put in another good one.
- Zip it up.

That does look like a ready transplant recipient. I see your dilemma. What would your intended use for the rig be? How much utility would you get out of having another running wagon?

Hmm.. Now that you ask, I think I'd just sell it running.

LOL. So Fling it is.

Well then get busy:wrench::wrench:. I'm sure it's gonna be nice.

perfect diesel candidate!

I won't let it rot. I've parted about 5 60's to keep everyone elses on the road. At least thats the way I look at it.

Here is what I did at lunch. Color is off, but meh. Its clean and ready to go back on after the engine swap.

Pulled it in the garage tonight after making room. I'm going to pull the engine in the next week. Its about 15 bolts from being free.

You're a good man Charlie Brown !

X3. 4BT that bad boy.

Maybe a Turbo 3B or 2H or 1HZ or a 13B-T or 12H-T or maybe even a 1HD-T. Keep it as Toyota as possible.:grinpimp:

However, I could possibly use some parts off of it if it is going to get parted.

PM me with the parts needed, I have parted 5 other 60s and Might have it laying around.

May I be so indelicate as to ask what you paid for a body like that?
...
That came out wrong.
x4 SOS!

Of course you can ask - Lets just say I got it for a good deal... about 1/2 what you would expect to pay. Ya know "half off twice the price"
