Guys, after the weekend' storm, I can;t miss a snow run, so I did few phone calls and find another crazy guy who wants to play with the snow on Tuesday...not easy task, but not impossible...enjoy the pics...

so, they didn't have you put chains on, then...
but did you have to have some in the cab?

yes, the Chip ask for it but let us go...and we never installed...it was not required...

we had to made a special order for the 37" chains...

Even though I carry a set when I'm in the mountains, I wonder why they ask when most likely we'll never use them... at least on the highway. Per Caltrans:

* R1: Chains are required - snow tread tires allowed.
* R2: Chains are required on all vehicles except four wheel drive vehicles with snow tires on all four wheels.
* R3: Chains are required - all vehicles - no exceptions.
* R1 and R2 are the most common conditions. The highway is usually closed before an R3 condition is imposed.
