I bought this from the original owner in Palm Springs about 5mo ago (LINK to original thread) with plans to get it overland ready for cruising around desert trails in SoCal but now need cash for a down payment on a house (ridiculous market).
Pros:
- Clean title
- No rust SoCal vehicle
- Clean carfax
- Well maintained with records
- Most all miles are highway. Never been off road by me and original owner said the same, I believe him based on the rig being pretty clean overall and still rocking the original shocks.
- Motor runs strong, transmission shifts smooth
- Original owner installed a better amp and speakers and wired in a backup camera integrated with the original touch screen
- All seats are clean with no rips
- A/C works very well, could probably cool a house
- Tags good through 2022
Cons:
- The body has a few dents and dings as well as one key scratch on the driver side
- Small patch of surface rust where paint was scratched off on one of the dings, also small spot at top of windshield
- Windshield has a crack
- Exhaust manifolds have classic LC ticking noise until warmed up
- Slow drip from steering rack (still feels tight and no whines from pump though)
- Clear coat faded patch on hood
- Tires are getting older and only have ~ 20-40% tread left
- I'd say the carpets need a professional cleaning, I bought new floor mats which helps
