im about ready to start my spring over and im having trouble trying to figure out how to extend the front sway bar ( im not worried about the rear, that got ripped off a long time ago) ive seen people use all-thread but i dont like that. thanks
 
I think MAF has what you need. Or use steel drill rod and add the stock brakets.

After my SOA the MAF extensions were not long enough. They are for 2.5 to 4 inch lifts. I tried all thread which broke on the first fifty feet of Cliffhanger in Moab. Since, I have had no sway bars and am loving it. Much more flex, and no "clunk" when I turn a corner. I difference in flex was big enough that I had to trim the front fender b/c I was stuffing the 38s into the fenders.
 
You'll probably have to go custom, unless you can find something that is not Cruiser-specific that can be adapted.

I was lucky, when I did my SOA you could get custom ones made by Perssons Off-Road (now defunct) out of SS, real sweet setup. They've been under my Cruiser for the better part of six years and they still work flawlessly!

I have asked this question several times with the same responce. You can make them.

But I always asked how and with pics, to no avail. I do remember seeing the pic exiled posted though. I was thinking of getting some lomgs bolts, but dont know if I can find anything. (I havent looked yet.) Remeber threaded rod is grade 2 and I would liek to get grade 8 if possible.


I need to do the rear as well. (Could you cut the stock rear mounting in half weld a piece of pipe in the center for the extension?) Maybe 1/8 or 1/4 pipe?

My plan for the rear is to cut the rear links at one of the ends and run a die down the rod. I'll then weld steel tube to the end that I cut free and tap the tube. Thread them together with a jam nut be good to go. This will give me some adjustability (I'm running a 2" lift now but may go taller in the future). Or maybe I'll just cut both ends free and weld on a fixed length of tube. Depends how lazy I'm feeling when I actually get around to it. :)
 
Thick gauge square tubing. These have worked great front and rear although I wish I had made them quick disconnects.
