Hey everyone,
Now that the FJ Cruiser has been out for some time now, what are they selling for? How much have the prices dropped? What are most people walking out the door for?

Thanks,
Zack

I don't see any price reduction. I can only believe that the prices will increase.

Increase? Why? In NJ they seem to be sitting on the lots, not moving at all.

Maybe people in NJ don't like the new FJ....? As well dealers have to have something in stock, otherwise they wouldn't have a car lot full of cars ya know.

Here in Indy, there are some on the lots but the prices have not dropped, but when I bought mine I shopped around and talked the dealer down 5000 dollars because I was going to take it that day cash. You can make deals if you are willing to spend the time dealing with the A$$h*** car dealers...

actually the market has changed a lot...

A short time ago, a low mileage used FJ was pulling $26k to $27k for actual cash value. Now they are being taken in on trade in the low $20's. I have taken a few of them in on trade lately and the most I could get a Toyota dealer to commit to was $25k, and that was on a perfect rig with aftermarket wheels, a lift, all the factory options, an ARB bumper and winch, and a few other goodies.
Anyone in the market for one of these will be able to find them for invoice, and I wouldn't be surprised to see some incentives this year.
It was bound to happen. They appeal to a small group...us.
Don't worry though, it's good for us. The sooner the public loses interest, the sooner they will stop making them and then our rigs will become classics that much more quickly.
For those of you who are trying to sell your FJ for $30k...good luck.

Helping a friend buy an FJ... This is the quote from yesterday (Nov 26):

New 2007
4x4
Auto
Diff Lock
Side air bags
Convenience group - no Option 1 or 2, no roof rack
Steel wheels
$23,650

I'm quite surprised to see how many are for sale already. Seems like people got them for a year or so, maybe short leases and then they are back on the lot. Just do a search on an internet car sales site. Unbeleivable how many come up. Kind of sad really, that people get so easily bored with something, when really they are pretty good rigs.

Guess in another year or two, there will be lots for cheap :) Maybe I can afford one then.

In North Jersey & NYC area, I see a LOT of FJ's on the road...and never more than a few on Toyota lots.

I think there are some who are panic selling their early 07's because of the rear diff/engine bay cracks/windshield "issues".

Others I would imagine realize they really wanted mall cruisers with heated seats, mirrors, auto dimming rear views & real rear full sized passenger seats.

I purchased my '08 in August i found it cheaper to buy the '08 than I could get a used '07 for or new one for that matter.

as far as the bailing due to small "issues" every first year vehicle has issues everyone knows that.
