I was fortunate / unfortunate enough to wheel one.

Unfortunate, because I blew the front diff and t-case in my 100 on Friday.

Fortunate because FJ Trail Team was at Yankee Toys Fall Gathering and had a spare FJ that I wheeled all day on Saturday. It was the Baja looking one.

I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. I had wheeled with FJs and they did great, but I never drove one.

I did the same lines up and down as modded 40s and minitrucks with SOAs and 37s and up.

The A-Trac was quite impressive too as well as being spotted by Woody, spotter extraordinaire. Thanks Woody!

If only had space for one.

Looks like a great time. That's telling though, that you have 2 trucks you could sell to make room for it but you don't seem to be leaning that way...

Any specific thoughts on it vs. your 60 or 100?

Don't forget about the awesome spotting job my son did

Sorry to hear about the breakage.

At least you still got to wheel in something else.
When you start looking let me know. I may have one for you. Already built.
I need to get back in a 80 series.

I liked it a lot, though it wouldn't replace the 60 or 100.

The interior I would still have to get used.

You could use the 100 for expedition type trips, 60 on the beach and the FJ for wheeling the crap out of, so you can keep your two "babies" intact. :D

how would you compare the drive/feel compared to the 100 off road?
FJ is throttle happy compared to a 100, and the FJ is easier to manuever. Though, I love the 100 more cuz its awesome :)

I like driving my 60 offroad better than my fj. I have done the same trails with both now and have decided that I actually felt more comfortable in my 60. That thing made it all the places my fj went with out the locker, without the atrac, collapsed motor mounts and a jacked up tranny! Biggest plus to the 60, i CAN SEE OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
