So I am thinking of getting a LC 200 ... what mods?

As the tittle says, I am considering a 200. What mods would you suggest? Keep in mind that mods cannot be extreme where I am at and major modifications will screw up once insurance and might even require a licanse.

A bull bar is out of the question at this stage. Is there such thing as a covert winch or a frame for a removable one?

Thanx in advance ... excuse my overall newbie-ness!

If a bull bar is out of the question, and you want a winch, check out rasta4x4usa.com. They have a winch mount for the stock bumper. It hides the winch behind the plastic bumper cover.

Most major mods are going to require you to remove something from the LC. So you are going to be limited then!

Well 'exchanging' stuff is ok. What is certainly no go is bull-bars (that make the vehicle longer) and extreme lifts. Effectively what 'they' do not like is anything that radically modifies the vehicle's driving behavior/performance on road.

I am Greek. Right now I leave in the UK. This car is going to be primarilly for Greece and the balkan regions, it will be a company car. I can pretty much have whatever I want (with the LC 200 at the very upper price limit, I would have to fight for it). The mods come out of my own pocket. I will be covered by the company's insurance and it will be risk assesed, so that is why no extreme mods. Initially they wanted to give me a Nissan Patrol LWB.

In Greece even if you have tinted windows (not fully tinted, just tinted) you need to prove that they were not after market; my WJ failed its MOT on that!

It will travel A LOT on road and needs to be comfortable. It will go off road A LOT but it will not do so for the sake of doing it. I will be the sole driver.

I wouldn't worry too much about mods, frankly. I'd keep it close to stock, maybe just some larger tires with more aggressive tread.

Good suggestions.

Taking off the running boards is simple 6 bolts per side...very easy.

Installing new ones is simple and reversible also.

Ok so we have larger with aggressive thread, running boards and maybe a winch under the front fender ...

How does the 200 do with two points?
