I also am unimpressed with KO2 over past two winters in OR (dry in town, lots of packed or deeper snow in mountains - they were okay at this) and now NH (plowed roads but lots of black ice and slick snowy patches - they’re horrible at this). I’m considering Nokian LT2 on dedicated rims if I can find the funds in the next month or so.

Ultimately I would like to get rid of my ROADONE Calvary MT 285/70R18's and start with the Yokohama Geolandar G015 285/60R18's and then next winter look to invest in a set of Yokohama Iceguards on dedicated rims. Myabe even sell the ROADONE's from this, granted someone might be interested in them, they are new with less than 500 miles (not suggesting you lol, just someone).

Looking for opinions on snow tires for my 2006 LC. I'm hearing good things about the Bridgestone Blizzak's but the price is somewhat high. I have heard about an alternative tire, Yokohama iceGuard's which would save me around 200-250 all said and done. Please comment, especially if you have first hand knowledge of the Yokohama's.

Nokian snow tires > Blizzak > all other rated snow tires

if your considering an AT: Cooper ST Max with studs > K02s > ST Max

Not mentioned, the nokians and blizzaks(idk for sure about yokos) are a special compound. You can not compare them to regular tires.
