So last Friday I called John Embrey to make sure it was okay to play in the snow at his place over the weekend - my reason: to take pics of the FZJ40 for the www.ironpigoffroad.com website.

Only problem is that I forgot to bring the camera...

I did snap a couple pics, and shot some phone video:

Did anyone else get pics?

Tim "POWER"s up the hill...

First pic is Taylor and Daniel rolling around in the snow while we changed the front passenger tire on the FZJ40 after popping it on a root in the creek. Thankfully Tim P was close by and was able to make room for me to pull up on the bank so we didn't have to change a tire in the creek.

Second pic was the event to see of the weekend. Next time Vince says he's coming I'm bringing the video camera. After an unsuccessful climb on the first hill he jammed it in reverse and drove backwards down the creek until finally crashing into a tree. Not willing to give in yet he powered back out of the creek in what I could only describe as an impossible show of super-human Nissan capability, only to become stuck again after making it back to the easy part of the trail. He gets out and says, I must not be able to see well enough - to which we all laugh knowing full well he's just stuck. After cleaning snow from the rear window (he was trying to go forward) he puts it in drive and pulls right out.... can't explain it. Then, after turning around makes a pass at the creek in forward gear(s) until forward progress was limited to one wheel drive...

Looks like I missed a fun day at the back 40 . Looks like the kids had a great time but, I do not know which kids had the greatest time the big or little ones.

you have to grow old, but you don't have to grow up....

looks like a good time!
