There is a road past sureshot lakes that goes way up and overlooks twin lakes. It could be fun. Also that's where I want to ski.

I havent seen that road on the fs maps but it is on google earth, looks like it would be fun. What kind of a time frame for meeting up would work well for everyone.

i wake up at 5am, i would think early start would be nice? sun rises about 8

Looking at satellite and trail maps I like @secretasiansam's idea of the road that goes up to overlook twin lakes. FS says its open all year and it shows quite a bit of snow on the trail
