VT forecasters talked about a huge wallop. We have only 8 inches of fresh snow in South Burlington, VT.

Less than predicted in SE Mass, too

Yeah - they were saying parts of Eastern Mass would get 18-24" and it now looks like totals will be in the 1 foot range.

It's now raining hard at my place on the South Shore.

I haven't seen this amount of seasonal snow in this area in 15+ years. It just keeps on coming. The MUD will be deep this Spring!

only about 10" in Springfield (3" yesterday). Glad we did not get thye big load- it is hard walking in the woods getting ready for sugaring. The 4 wheeler with tracks was geatting stuck before this last storm

5 yesterday, maybe another 8 today, still a big mess out there.
I know I'm pissing a lot of people off when I park the mail truck on the side streets,
not much room to get by with the snow banks.

well Lane at least you are delivering the mail. Our postal c*nt just drives by and categorically claims the mail boxes are not accessible.

And while waiting for a package she's pulled up and left the "sorry I missed you" letter because she didn't want to drag her lazy *ss out of the truck and walk up the driveway.

You know those mail truck's can't out run a GS300.

atleast you all got snow we got ice. rain then a big freeze. everything has a minimum of an inch of ice on it. fun riding my mtb into work this morning though. its my only vehicle with studded tires :)

2 day total of 18" in Hampton, NH...

This was the view out the window before I snowblowed yesterday...

The depth between the snowbank and the car is exaggerated by slideoff from the roof that rolled down the snowbank next to the house... but a pretty good buildup either way. Took about 2 hours to clear my drive, walks, roof rakng, and the neighbor's driveway.

Final tally was 18inches at the house....more expected over the next 4 days.

What do folks have for a snowpack?

I'm curious about the snow pack folks have.

I'd say we have somewhere between 2-3 feet on the ground at my house in Norwell.

Headed up to the Lincoln/Woodstock area of NH this weekend for some winter camping with a few buddies - I wonder how much is on the ground up there. I suspect we'll be breakin' trail...

Where you camping?
I was off trail in my yard last night and its about
30". Rough going with out snow shoes.
I have a camping trip (bushcraft style) set for the 19th
and I'm hoping the snow packs down a bit.

Actually, we stayed at the Dartmouth cabin off of RT112 a few miles west of North Woodstock. There was 2-3 feet in the woods there before the snow-then-rain event on Sat night. The thunder and lightening was pretty cool.

The rain probably knocked down the several inches that it snowed first - so it's probably a wash. I'd say they still have well over 2' on the ground in that area.
