I broke this out of the xmas tree thread so it doesn't get lost. I put the word out of a snow run to some people off the board and this is what we came up with.
Saturday 10am at the Talent Wal-Mart parking lot. We will be heading up Wagner Butte which has some serious snow right now.
Bring your straps and full-size shovels... you'll need em!

WISH I COULD GO!! (ck snow thread for more info) Wagner is a good time! you going over to the 20 rd to 4 corners? have fun and like J said take pix! Next time I guess...............

I met up with two mini's both running 35" Boggers and then we ran into about 6 Heeps all headed for the same area at the same time. I believe that at least one of them was on an old mailing list of mine which is why it seemed like a little more than just a coincidence that we were all there.
The heeps proceeded up the road at a fast and dangerous pace. They lost us pretty quickly as we actually cared about not destroying our trucks on the way up. Eventually we passed one heep on the side of the road that broke a u-joint. He just left it with the windows down sitting there barely off the road.
Shortly after that I pulled over with a clunking sound and it turns out one of the potholes had ripped my front drivers side upper shock mount clean off. After I unbolted the shock completely we continued on.
We caught the rest of the Heeps right before 4 corners and watched as one of them off-roaded into a buried log. These guys all used and abused redline and it was quite humorous to watch as they went and plowed their own little paths through the snow.
At least one of the Heeps was pushing a very healthy V8 and probably had $30k into his rig. All their tires ranged from 35's to 38's with BFG KM2's being the most popular and doing a darn good job in the deep snow.
After 4 corners we went right around the corner to 'the saddle?' where the snow was every bit of 36" deep. A Cherokee and one of the V8 Wranglers promptly got stuck as the rest bombed this way and that. I parked behind the Cherokee and winched him out. I went to go around him and while working the steering wheel back and forth at full throttle I blew up my passenger side axle in my Dana 44 front. The Ujoint ripped the ears off on both the inner and the outer axle. I attempted to turn around to go back down the trail and got stuck. After some shoveling I was able to get pointed in the right direction.
We stood around and ate lunch as the Heeps bombed up and down a steep hill to see who could make it the farthest. The snow was coming over their hoods as they hauled ass back down the hill at which point one of the V8 Heeps creamed a ujoint in his front driveshaft. They then proceeded to leave him to try and make it to Dutchmans peak but the last I heard one of them slid about 15 ft off the road down and embankment which required a winchfest to get him out.
I headed out with the mini's sandwiching me which was good because I kept sliding off the road with only three wheel drive. Eventually I said 'bye' to them and headed on my way.... while coming around a particularly steep downhill corner on ice I came head to head with a caravan of rigs coming up the hill. I was only doing about 10mph when I hit the brakes but with the ice and it being a single lane I slid right into the front of a newer Cherokee messing up his bumper and headlight! What a crappy day! FYI I forgot my camera so we just got some lousy cell phone pics.

WOW!!! What a day! Hey bro Glad you made it out alive! Wish I could have been there witha decent camera that is..........

 Sounds like a day! I need to be careful wheeling with ya LOL

Wrenching and winching. Nothing like doing all that laying in the snow! It would have been fun to WATCH! (while enjoying hot coffee and a warm buttered danish).
