Snorkel on RHD (1 Viewer)

Just thought I'd give a heads up to anyone who may be considering installing a snorkel on their truck. I installed one on my RHD HDJ81 a little while back and here is an odd thing I've noticed. You may not have the same effect or notice it on a LHD gasser but my HD1-T you sure notice.

It HOWLS!!!

Cool. Driving down the road you can hear a deep growl as air is being sucked into it, even at idle it's quite noticeable. I had a Ducati once where I cut the top off the airbox, damn that was a cool sound, now I have it again on the truck.

Just another reason to get a snorkel, if you needed one that is....

Yeah I love the turbo diesel with snorkel intake roar, nearly as much as the whistle through the 3" mandrel bent exhaust.

I get a bit of roar on mine but a bloke at work has a 2.8 diesel dualcab Hillux and that thing has an intake roar. You can even hear it with the windows up and the radio on.
