Drove her from Vancouver BC yesterday and I am currently enjoying a bed in Kenora Ontario.
One more good day of driving and we are home.
Runs very well, the fella I purchased it from loved the exhaust but for me it's like flying a deHavilland Beaver float plane.

Glad it went to a good home. It’s a lot of truck for the money. I love the sound of a P&W 985. :)

Nice rig; congratulations!

I love headers on a 1HZ, but it's probably where some of your noise is coming from... They do release quite a few more ponys on these motors though.

Yes, I’m so happy to see this truck picked up by a mud member. I really wish I was in a position to buy it. Helluva deal! Congrats!

It’s about as close to a “turn key” Ute as you’re going to get.

Made it home yesterday 3800 kms. The exhaust is interesting except for long hrs of open road, a times I felt as if I was flying a dehavilland Beaver floatplane!
Engine bay is still a clean as the moment we first met and used one qt/L of oil since the PO's last change which is damn fine considering the terrain and speeds we travelled.
One bit of drama was loosing both alt/water pump belts just as I was contemplating my camp out on the Northern Lake Superior coast. Had the beer chilling in anticipation but alas fate slapped this dreamer across the ears.
Tried the shred of belt remaining while black flies endeavored to feast on my exposed skin. The shredded belt kept jumping but the PO had thrown in some parts and in these parts was a timing belt which quite naturally covers the flywheel and water pump.
So away we go in failing light and max 70kmh because the belt probably slips as the fan ramps up. Needless to say I made camp at 2:30 am and instead of my imaginary sunset I marvelled at the universe spread above me.
Luckily the PO installed LED's which allowed for 6hrs of night travel plus 3hrs more to Sault Ste. Marie where I sourced some belts.

Mileage 1082ish. A little track takes you to the waters edge. Great spot if you ever travel between Wawa and the Soo Ontario.
The mule is a must because a 70's is the mule of Toyota's fleet.
