I got a smokin deal on this 1/2" drive impact, but I'm not sure if I have enough air to use it at all. My old impact, which really just spins, spins till the air runs out. This thing farts for a minute and then blows air out the handle. I have been able to use if for brief moments. It did break the front pulley bolt loose when it seemed like it was half working. Any one using this gun on a low pressure? Should it act like this? Seems like it won't turn at all under 90psi, and I know for sure I don't have the 6.2cfm it needs. Maybe it wasn't such a deal.......thanks

Seems to me you don't have enough "wind" (umph) to push it to its max capabilities........

Not sure why I got moved. I figured this was the place for needing an impact.
Anyway, I plan to test the gun on a real compressor after the big birthday celebration.
I agree, not enough air to use it. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about a new compressor, just not yet......

Turns out the wrench was too cold (10deg F). I thought my compressor was all messed up, but once the wrench is at room temperature, it seems to work fine. Not sure how this is going to work out up here at 10,000 feet without a garage. Hopefully the wrench is so amazing that the job will go so fast that the wrench won't even get chilly, ha ha.

shouldn't make a big difference , i run mine in -40 with ice coming out the handle . run a bunch of air tool oil and air tool anti- freeze .

you can get the gun rebuilt for fairly cheap .

you should have at least 90psi . my compressor kicks out at 125 and kicks in at about 105.

ripple,

Put some kind of tool oil into the wrench designed for ultra cold environments then perhaps, you wont have a problem.
