I am the proud owner of a strong running slightly beat up 85, With total disregard for the enviornment and its friends, Is there anything I can do to simplify the operation of the stock 2f, there is a ton of hoses and wires and things under the hood, what about removeing cats?
Any information greatly appreciated.
Jamie

Id convert it to burn coal, that would stick it to those treehuggers!

I'd convert to a wood-fired boiler in the back w/ an inline 6 cyl steam engine underhood. That way it would be a cheap renewable enrgy source.

But seriously, search for the word desmog or desmogging.

So the cruiser is running good you just want to tune it to pollute more? You could go with a header and performance muffler.

I agree on the cat removal! I hate cats and so does my dog. Don't get me wrong I love pussy, but those fur ball chewing, litter box s***ting creatures must be done away with! The only good cat is a dead cat.

Seriously, will removing catalytic converts help performance, is there any other emissions controls that are limiting the performance.

Removing the cat will improve performance, if the cat is restricted due to age and excessive exhaust stank plugging it up. Usually it doesn't matter much.

Installing a header, eliminating EGR and AIR, and keeping a cat will keep the exhaust clean and provide noticeably increased performance

EGR and AIR?? Remember I am new and have some mechanical ability..

I haven't heard of the AIR sytem before. Are you referring to the air rail?
